The Role:

Centred around a high-volume cardboard baling and material processing facility in Rocklea, you will act as the operational engine room - balancing hands-on site leadership with high-tempo transport scheduling:

• Site & Equipment Leadership: Supervise daily operations for a core team of 3 site operators, optimising heavy-duty cardboard baling machinery for maximum throughput and zero downtime.

• Fast-Paced Logistics Coordination: Mastermind daily dispatch schedules for upwards of 30 local routes per day, liaising with drivers and transport partners for seamless collections.

• Safety & Compliance Champion: Drive a zero-harm WHS culture on site through regular toolbox talks, risk assessments, and PPE compliance.

• Team Coaching & Development: Mentor your team, allocate tasks, set clear productivity benchmarks, and build a positive, safety-focused culture.

• Facility & Record Management: Oversee site cleanliness, coordinate routine equipment maintenance, and maintain accurate records of material volumes and dispatch logs.

What You Bring to the Table:

• Leadership Experience: Proven background in a supervisory or lead-hand role within logistics, transport, industrial processing, or resource recovery environments.

• Machinery Exposure: Practical experience operating or supervising site equipment (industrial balers, compactors, or similar processing machinery preferred).

• Logistics Acumen: Strong experience managing fast-moving transport scheduling and route coordination.

• Safety Focus: Solid working knowledge of workplace health and safety (WHS) and site compliance standards.

• Problem Solver: A calm, practical leader who takes pride in maintaining a safe, organised, and high-performing facility.
